Tipping etiquette
As in mainland Spain, in restaurants the tip is left after you’ve paid the bill. The bill usually comes on a little tray or a saucer – leave your tip there. Depending on the service, tip between 5 and 10 percent of the bill. Make sure you check the bill before tipping, though. Some restaurants include a 10-percent service charge, in which case you can leave an additional tip if you think the service was worth it, but you don’t have to do that.
Taxi drivers expect 10 percent of the fare. As the day fare from and to the airport is around 18 euros, you can round that up nicely to 20 euros.
